10 Years After is a selection of John Mackinnon’s work over the past decade which is presented in the format of exhibition posters. The show explores the poster as a capsule for selective memory – the retrospective poster allowing the artist to re-visit the point in time between conception and reception. Mackinnon says “I think of these posters in the old terms of Conceptual Art where the poster could be seen to privilege the documentation of the painting and the museum as after-image.”
